COURSE
INFORMATION
Unmatched for beauty,
you'll agree that Durango is truly a runner's paradise.
The
Trail Run Courses
Telgraph
Trail 50K and the Horse
Gulch Trail 25K.
Never flat,
the Telegraph Trail System's singletrack features the area's first
wagon roads and old communication lines; as well as breath-taking
climbs and views of Durango and its mountain backdrop.
Elevation/Terrain:
6,510 to 7,200 feet; rolling, twisty singletrack, wagon roads and
mining trails.
"The Telegraph
Trail 50K (2003) was an ideal Championship course because while
it offers suitable challenge to runners of all abilities, it is
very “runable” so that top competitors can push themselves over
the entire route. The scenery is superb and the field quickly loses
sight of the fact that the race begins and ends in town because
most of it feels remote, except for the views overlooking Durango."
Adam Chase , Running Times Magazine, Trail Editor.
